Registrations to "Sweet" conference closed

Kia ora koutou,

We are very sorry but we have to close registrations, because amazingly, we have reached the 100 mark already, and that's all the hall holds.

We still have a small number of unconfirmed people so you can try your luck on the day/s, but we can't guarantee a place for you - sorry.

Thanks everyone for your interest and the papers will be posted on the blogsite after the conference.

Times: Saturday 9th 9-4.30pm, 6.30-8.30pm (dinner)
Sunday 10th 9-4.30pm

Venue: St Anne’s Hall, Emmet Street, Newtown.


1) Conference Fees:

$25 low wage, unwaged, student
$55 decent wage
$170 if your work is paying/government

Of course, if you can't afford the conference fee that is fine but please still register so we can cater for food numbers.

There will be dairy free and gluten free options, please let us know what your food needs are.


(3) Anthology of writings

An anthology of writings (including poetry, rants, narrative, prose or essay abstracts) from the speakers and attendees of the workshop will be compiled and available at the conference. Please let us know if you would like to order the anthology, to be available at the conference. Cost is $5.00.

Transport information

Please bicycle, walk or use public transport wherever possible.

From town, you can catch the following buses:
no. 3, 43, 44, 10, 11, 23, 22 and get off at the main shop area. Emmet Street is just behind and at your left.

If you are driving please let us know if you can help with carpooling.
